On August 7, 2010, Mark Schreiner was in an accident and sustained a severe head injury. As a result of his head trauma, he remains in a semi-comatose.
The journey is likely going to be a long one for Mark and his family. The expenses associated with Mark's complete disability have left a huge financial strain on Shelly (Frisch) and her children. We want to help alleviate that burden and allow them to focus on Mark's treatment and recovery.
Mark is the youngest of six children of Jim and Gerri Schreiner. A lifelong resident of Fargo-Moorhead, he graduated from Moorhead High School, attended NDSU and served eight years in the North Dakota Air National Guard. He worked for Coca Cola Company, as a stock broker for A. G. Edwards/ Wachovia, as well as a salesman for Prairie Business Magazine before beginning his career in farming.
Shelly also graduated from Moorhead High School and Minnesota State University Moorhead. She has worked with the youth as a figure skating coach with the Red River Valley Figure Skating Club for the past 20 years. The RRVFSC is associated with the Moorhead Parks & Recreation and Fargo Park District skating programs.
Mark and Shelly have two children — Samantha (9) and Thomas (5).
